Te Reo - Māori Language

Te Reo Māori is one of the three official languages of New Zealand, the others are English and Sign Language. The language is an essential expression of Māori culture and important for maintaining Māori pride and identity.  In 2006, 25% of Māori in Christchurch could speak Te Reo.
