Workshop on helping young people achieve their dreams

Wednesday, September 06, 2017   Posted in: Training By: Administrator With tags: workshop, youth empowerment, young people

Most five-year olds have a dream or a goal that they want to accomplish. All too often the world pours cold water on this. Research has shown that if young people have a skill that is valued then they are likely to do well in life.

We will look at the research around young people who use their gifts and talents during this fun and interactive workshop. You will discover:

  • how to help young people dare to dream;
  • how you can help young people reach their full potential;
  • how you can give young people opportunities to use their talents and gifts;
  • how to help young people who are too embarrassed to give things a go; and
  • what talents you can cultivate for young people who are not artistic, musical or sporty.

Date and Time: Thursday 28th September 2017, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Location: White Elephant Trust (442 Tuam Street).
Cost: $65 plus GST per person.

This workshop is a must for teachers, teacher aides, youth workers, social workers, guidance counsellors, or anyone working with youth.
