The Ripple Effect: West Auckland schools go fizz free

More than 40 kura in West Auckland have pledged ‘water is the first choice’ on school grounds over the past year. This initiative has resulted in Healthy Families Waitakere supporting the installation of more than 60 modern water fountains throughout West Auckland kura, making water accessible for more than 18,000 students.

Locations of previous ANA forums.ANA Regional Forums 2019-2020

Every two years ANA has held Regional Forums. The forums are an opportunity for the local workforce to get together and share ideas related to nutrition and physical activity and strengthen networks in the region. The map on the left gives an indication where forums have been held over the past six years.

We have started thinking about how we will plan the next forums to be delivered late 2019 to early 2020. Regional Forums have always received positive feedback and it is our desire to continue delivering these however this is subject to funding.

Contact Alison at ANA if you would like to know more about potentially hosting a forum (alison[at] She will be happy to hear from you.
