Te Rongo from the Health Promotion Forum: August 2022
Kia ora koutou and Mālō e lelei It's Daffodil Day on Aug 26, a day that symbolises hope for all New Zealanders whose lives have been impacted by cancer. We encourage you to support this worthy cause in any way you can to make sure no one goes through their cancer journey alone.
Next month we also ask you to join in the celebrations for Tongan Language Week from 4th to 10th September, and Maori Language Week/Te Wiki o te Reo Māori from 13th to 19th September. We'll be bringing you more details about the weeks' themes and happenings across the motu on our Facebook page and website.
There’s still time to have your say on the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products (Smoked Tobacco) Amendment Bill.
We encourage you to make a submission before they close on Wednesday 24th August 2022 and help to create a supportive environment for our health and wellbeing and to make Smokefree Aotearoa a reality!
We are looking forward to bringing your our next informative and interactive webishop on 20th October, and we'll be posting more details on our Facebook page and website shortly.
Note: Exclusively for our members we offer space in Te Rongo to advertise job vacancies, courses/webishops and other events in the field of health promotion. Te Rongo is sent out on the 20th of each month, so please let us know at least a week before if you'd like to include a notice. Contact: lavinia@hauora.co.nz
