Healthy volunteers wanted for research into causes of IBS
Are you aged between 18 and 70 years old with no gastrointestinal issues? The COMFORT Research team is looking for volunteers who live in Christchurch with no gastrointestinal issues for this study.
This research project aims to identify the causes and mechanisms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The researchers are looking at different aspects of everyday life and how they are associated with gastrointestinal symptoms (or lack of symptoms).
The researchers are also looking to recruit people who have been diagnosed with IBS for this study.
This research is very important as there is very little knowledge about the causes of IBS. This study involves filling out questionnaires about your current health and quality of life, keeping a food and symptom diary for 3 days and collecting some biological samples. There is only one meeting with the research team for 15 minutes.
Your help will be rewarded with a $20 petrol voucher.
