E-scooters focus of Christchurch online survey

What do you think of Christchurch's shared electric scooters?
The e-scooters have become a familiar sight on the roads and footpaths around Christchurch since mid-October when American bike and scooter share company Lime was given a permit to operate in the city on a trial basis.
Lime’s trial is due to end in late February.
Christchurch City Council wants to find out what the public think about the shared scooters before it makes a decision on whether to allow Lime - and potentially other e-scooter share companies - to continue operating here.
“We want feedback from users and non-users on what they like and don’t like about the scooters," says Council Transport Operations Manager Steffan Thomas.
“We also want to get information on the types of trips people are taking on the scooters and the reasons why they are opting to use them.
“We’ve put together short online survey to help gather this information and we would like as many people as possible to complete," Mr Thomas says.
More than 200,000 trips have been taken on Lime's e-scooters since launching and around one in seven residents have tried them.
The scooters are spread throughout Christchurch and are dockless so users find, unlock and pay for them using an app.
