- Muscles relax;
- Circulation is increased;
- Killer T Cell production is increased - which helps fight disease and cancer;
- Immune system is stimulated;
- Internal organs are given a massage;
- Respiratory system is cleaned out;
- Cardiovascular workout;
- Blood pressure returns to normal;
- Increases in feel good chemicals, endorphin and serotonin; and
- Decreased stress hormones, cortisol and adrenaline.
The St Albans Laughter Club have been unable to run in-person sessions since August 2021 and instead have been running online sessions which they will be continuing with for the foreseeable future due to the pandemic.
