Fundraise for better mental health system with mindfulness
The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and The Kindness Institute have teamed up together to bring you the Mindfulness Month in August 2022. They are asking you to join them for 31 days of mindfulness and raise money for the Mental Health Foundation in support of a better mental health system.
Just like our physical health, our mental health needs care and maintenance - and that’s what Mindfulness Month is all about. The month is a great opportunity to fundraise for a better mental health system while learning a bunch of great tools for being present and connecting with our minds, bodies and environments.

Step 1: Sign up for Mindfulness Month
Whether you’re doing the mindfulness month on your own or as a part of a group or workplace – it only takes a few minutes to sign-up.
Register before Sunday 24th July 2022 to receive your free Month Done journal.

Step 2: Raise money
Tell your whānau, friends and colleagues that you’re taking a moment of mindfulness each day in August in support of your own wellbeing and a better mental health system for all. Get them to sponsor your daily mindful moment.
The money that you raise will allow us to hold the government to account and challenge us as a nation to do better to support the mental health of all New Zealanders.
Step 3: Be Mindful
Starting August 1st you’ll be guided through your mindfulness practice by your Month Done journal and daily guided mindfulness practice and activities produced by The Kindness Institute.
Each day builds upon the momentum of your mindfulness journey and contributes to a regular practice in your daily life.
Share your daily mindful moment on social media and appear on the wall to inspire others to get involved.
