Sculpture Festival at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre
The 5th annual Sculpture Festival will be held at Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre from Saturday 5th to Sunday 20th October 2024. The festival will feature work by some of the country’s best artists - on show and on sale.
Over 250 sculptural art pieces will be on display - ranging from delicate jewellery to large installations.
The festival doubles as a fundraiser for The Arts Centre, which is an independent charitable trust.
2024 will be last year as curator for Koji Miyazaki. His 5-year term has seen the festival establish itself as a showcase of approachable New Zealand sculpture in diverse media and styles, including ceramics, stone, glass, metalwork, jewellery, installation, and ngā toi Māori.
Smaller objects will be in the Great Hall (open daily 10am to 5pm). Larger, weather-proof artworks will be in the North Quad, where the public can view them any time.
You will find plenty of affordable artworks on sale, as well as genuine investment pieces. Sales support the artists and Te Matatiki Toi Ora The Arts Centre.
