Te Matau A Maui Workforce Development Series: Follow up workshops
What an amazing couple of days were experienced to kick off this development series. Graced with a Dame, a Professor, a couple of Doctors and more importantly the Māui collective, those that work with our whānau at their heart every day. Speakers, song, stocktakes, timers and shout outs, our thinking stretched, puku full and wairua strong so what next?
Three one-day follow up workshops will be held that will focus on the key main themes of Supervision, Cultural Competence and Evaluation. These will build on the stocktakes and action plans developed in the first wānanga, and involve rōpū working on the change you consider to be most important for your organisation.
- Supervision: Thursday 22nd November 2018;
- Cultural Competency: Thursday 29th November 2018; and
- Evaluation: Wednesday 5th December 2018.
All workshops will run from 9am to 4pm and will be held at the Tai Tapu Event Centre (Rhodes Domain - 722 Old Tai Tapu Road).
Register online to attend these Te Matau A Māui Workforce Development Series workshops (Eventbrite). You only have to register once and will have the option of selecting which workshops you want to attend.
The workshops will be the same recipe as the first development series session with engaging speakers, mentoring and real skill development with a more in-depth focus on the kaupapa at hand.
Each workshop will:
- Inspire: there will be a dedicated keynote speaker – an experienced practitioner – who will be with participants for the whole day.
- Empower: there will be a series of quick fire real time, real space feedbacks to both ground the discussion in real practice and showcase current practice.
- Challenge — we will challenge your thinking with a healthy dose of provocation.
- Action — there will be mahi! You know this, as participants will be working on the change priorities that you identified as important to you in the first two day development session together.
