Clinical Teaching
Do you supervise, coach, and support learning in clinical learning environments in healthcare settings?
The Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching (PGCertCT) is designed for health professionals who want to develop the skills to become competent clinical educators, establish an identity, and gain leadership skills as a clinical supervisor both within their own profession and as a member of an interprofessional team. The programme is delivered in consultation with local District Health Boards and regional education providers.
Two courses are offered in 2023:
Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)
Today’s health practitioners are increasingly considering how Complementary and Alternative Medicine fits alongside conventional medicine. Starting in Semester One and offered by distance, the HLTH442 course allows you to examine issues in CAM research that apply to health practice within Aotearoa New Zealand.
Topics include:
- evaluating qualitative and quantitative study designs;
- ethical aspects of CAM/IM/Traditional medicine; and
- performing a literature review.
