New community garden project in Mairehau/ St Albans
The Green Lab is delighted to let you know that they will be partnering with Neighbourhood Trust on a Community Garden Co-Design Project in early 2022.
The Green Lab like to create spaces that enable strong social connections and promote wellbeing, and The Neighbourhood Trust supports the people of Mairehau, St Albans, and Shirley to build vibrant, connected communities, where every person can reach their potential. They think our two organisations are a great fit and are looking forward to this collaboration!
The Neighbourhood Trust initiated this community garden project in response to general community feedback supporting the development of a shared garden space. They have secured a section behind the McFaddens Centre - 64 McFaddens Rd, St Albans to develop this project, which has been prepared with the help of Citycare Property. You are now invited to join the co-design process to shape it.
Have your say in the co-design survey for a community garden in Mairehau/ St Albans (Google Docs).
The Green Lab would love people who live or are invested in the Mairehau/ St Albans/ Shirley area to complete the survey! This is a chance to help inform the shape the garden will take!
The survey results will be taken to a group of locals who are forming a steering committee and will be discussed in collaboration with the design team to create a plan for the garden. Once it's finalised, the garden will be built with the community.
