Diabetes Christchurch Society 70th Platinum Anniversary Dinner

Diabetes Christchurch Inc. is celebrating its 70th Anniversary Dinner following the Canterbury Diabetes Symposium.

Date: Saturday 27th June 2026.
Time: 6pm.
Location: The Hornby Club.
Cost: $85 per person.

The late Professor Sir Donald Ward Beavan and elected President Garth Harris held the first diabetes society meeting in Christchurch on 10th May 1956. This milestone dinner is particularly memorable as it will provide a wonderful social opportunity to reflect on seven decades of progress in diabetes care and a time to reconnect with many of our respected diabetes specialists and colleagues, including staff at the Diabetes Centre. It is also particularly for our many society members and other local societies throughout the country over the past years.
