Immigration advice available from Citizens Advice Bureau
Citizens Advice Bureau Christchurch offers a distinct FREE clinic to assist with immigration concerns.
CAB volunteers can still provide immigration advice over the phone (0800 367 222) or in-person from their branches in Fendalton, Hornby, New Brighton and Rangiora.
Immigration Free Legal Clinic
Legal issues covered include:
- declined visa;
- unlawful presence in New Zealand;
- expired visa;
- facing deportation;
- breach of visa conditions;
- exploitation by an employer; and
- receiving a letter from Immigration NZ.
Date and Time: Fortnightly on a Thursday evening.
Location: Hornby Community Centre (8 Goulding Avenue, Hornby).

Note: Limited immigration lawyers are available for refugee issues, so it may take two months or longer to secure an appointment.
