Seminar for parents: How the teen brain is wired for addiction
Smartphones, vaping, gaming, social media, alcohol and other drugs... Why do some young people seem drawn to unhealthy habits and addictive behaviours?
In this practical workshop, you'll discover why adolescence is a time of increased risk-taking and reward-seeking, learn to recognise the early signs that a young person may be developing unhealthy habits, and explore practical, evidence-informed strategies to respond with confidence. You'll leave with communication tools and practical ideas to help your teenager develop healthier habits that support their wellbeing now and into adulthood.
