Ease Tension Headaches and Neck Pain with Self Massage

“The Stretching Sloth” will share techniques to practice self-massage therapy. Ease niggly neck pains or tension headaches without the expense of a masseuse.

Dates: Mondays from 29th April to 20th May 2024 (4 sessions).
Time: 1 to 3pm.
Cost: $60 per person or $45 if you have a Community Services Card.

Movement and Music for Fun

As we grow older, it is important to maintain what we take for granted – such as flexibility, strength, balance, and range of movement. Join Nicola Rooney for this class will help everyone to enjoy the benefits of movement regardless of their energy levels on the day. Seated options and modifications for injury and mobility limitations woill be available.

Music also engages our minds, our ears, and latent musicality to promote brain health.

Dates: Mondays from 29th April to 10th June 2024 (6 sessions).
Time: 1 to 2pm.
Cost: $41 per person or $31 if you have a Community Services Card

Meditation for Beginners

Slow down, take time out, as Jennifer O’Neill introduces you to the world of meditation. Start with basic breathing awareness sequences in a shared circle, and then explore a themed meditation each week. You can sit in a chair or on the floor. Includes a short pause for a cup of herbal tea and opportunity to connect with one another. Jennifer is a fully qualified community yoga and meditation teacher.

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, a blanket or towel for warmth and wear comfortable clothing.

Dates: Wednesday 1st May to 19 June 2024 (8 sessions).
Time: 10.30am to noon.
Location: Union Chapel (40 Winchester Street, Lyttelton).
Cost: $68 per person or $51 if you have a Community Services Card.
