Workshop: Growing a Fair Food System Together
Come along to this focused opportunity for food champions to contribute to strategic direction to build a strong and sustainable food system for Canterbury.
Date: Tuesday 23rd September 2025.
Time: 9am to 2pm.
Location: Multicultural Recreation and Community Centre (455 Hagley Avenue, Central City).
Cost: FREE.
Access to healthy and nutritious food is a basic human right, however the reality looks different for many. Almost a third of our food is wasted while 1 in 4 children in NZ are going hungry, with food running out “sometimes” or “often”. Food production is the largest contributor to greenhouse gases. These are just some of the food system challenges we face today.
Growing food resilience is a shared responsibility — and real solutions begin with connection. This workshop is about bringing together diverse voices to facilitate purposeful collaboration.
