INTERSEXtionality: Disproportionate impacts of climate change and other social justice issues on queers
Come along to this panel discussion to find out:
- How does climate change, housing, prisons, and other social justice movements disproportionately impact the LGBQTI+ community?
- What social justice groups exist in Ōtautahi that are fighting these issues, and how can you get involved?
Hear from members from various social justice movements across Ōtautahi who are on the ground tackling these interconnected issues. They’ll share their insights on how LGBQTI+ rights are deeply connected to struggles like climate justice, housing justice, and prison abolition.

Decolonising gender and sexuality
Join UC Lecturer in Criminal Justice Jess Niurangi Maclean (She/Her – Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Hine, Ngāpuhi, Clan O’Hara, Clan Maclean) for an engaging conversation about decolonising gender and sexuality in an Aotearoa context. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and engage in discussion.
