ANZAC Day 2026 Services and ANZAC Day Council Opening Hours

Communities across the District will come together this ANZAC Day to remember and reflect.
A range of ANZAC services and commemorations are planned to honour those who served and sacrificed.
Friday 24 April 2025
- Ohoka Hall Service (490 Mill Road): 11am.
- Sefton Domain Service (Upper Sefton Road): 6pm
- Woodend War Memorial Service
(School Road): 6pm
Saturday 25 April 2025
- Pegasus Dawn Service (Lake Pegasus waterfront): 5.50am.
- Rangiora RSA Service (Victoria Street): 6.30am.
- Kaiapoi War Memorial Service (Raven Quay): 6.30am.
- Oxford Cenotaph Service (Main Street): 9.30am.
- Rangiora High School Service: 9.30am.
- Kaiapoi Citizens’ Service (Trousselot Park, Charles Street): 9.45am.
- Cust Community Centre Service (Mill Road): 10am - followed by a wreath laying at the Cust Cenotaph at approximately 11am.
- Fernside Memorial Hall Service (O'Roarkes Road): 10am.
- Rangiora Cenotaph Service (High Street): 11.30am. Parade at 11.15am - by Farmers in Alfred Street.
- West Eyreton Memorial Hall Memorial Gates Wreath Laying (Earlys Road): 11.30am.
- Loburn War Memorial – Striking of the Flag: 1.30pm.

Waimakariri Libraries
- Closed on ANZAC Day and ANZAC Day observed (Monday).
Kerbside Collections
- There are no changes for Monday's collections.
- Bins and bags should be out by 7am.
Transfer Stations
- ANZAC Day - Southbrook Resource Recovery Park will be closed.
- Transfer Stations will be open as usual for the remainder of ANZAC weekend, including Monday.
Aquatic Facilities
There will be no scheduled programmes from Saturday 25 April to Monday 27 April.
Our pools wiil be open:
- Saturday 25th April (1pm – 7pm);
- Sunday 26th April (7.30am – 7pm);
- Monday 27th April (10am – 7pm); and
- Tuesday 28th April (6am – 9pm).
