Hear University of Otago Professor Dawn Coates reflect on her research as a molecular and cellular biologist with significant expertise in bone regeneration and engineering. In recent times her team has focused on nanoencapsulation techniques to enhance drug delivery. She also undertakes basic transcriptomic/ proteomic research on deer antler growth where bone grows at up to 2cm per day and this functions as a biomedical discovery model.
Date: Wednesday 22nd July 2026.
