Balcony Dwellers workshops from Canterbury Horticultural Society
Embark on a journey of sustainable cultivation from the comfort of your balcony, veranda, or courtyard!
Get ready to transform your compact living area into a thriving haven of sustainable growth - whether you’re a novice or a seasoned gardener.
The Canterbury Horticultural Society will present an edible-themed demonstration each month followed by a chance to exchange and collaborate with other balcony dwellers.
Attendees can purchase a set of top-up plants or seeds each session (from $20) – a seasonal combination of seedlings or seeds from the Southern Seed Exchange, or swap excess plants and seeds with others.
Bring back your old pots or soil to be recycled by the urban farm.
Dates: Third Saturday of the month - starting Saturday 16th March 2024.
Time: 10am to noon.
Location: Ōtakaro Orchard (227 Cambridge Terrace, Central City).
Cost: $20 per session for CHS members, and $25 for non-members.
These sessions will have a focus on environmentally conscious practices. Discover the joy of cultivating your own greens, herbs and fruit - making the most of every centimetre of your outdoor sanctuary.
