Being Tangata Tiriti: A Pākehā Project Taster
We live in discombobulating times and cracks are showing everywhere. So much that we thought was secure is shifting and changing. Here in Aotearoa, we have an extraordinary pou - Te Tiriti o Waitangi. It is so much more than a legal document. Māori have cared for and carried its promise over decades and decades for all of us - tangata whenua and tangata Tiriti alike. It offers us a framework for living together in our difference, in mutually enriching ways.
Join Rebecca and Becky from The Pākehā Project for this one-day workshop exploring the mahi we as tangata Tiriti can do in the journey towards a Tiriti-led future. You are invited into a space for gently inquiring into your unique place in the system rewiring itself. How do we show up where Māori are calling us to be?
Date: Thursday 29th May 2025.
Time: 9.30 to 4.30pm.
Location: Heathcote Valley Community Centre (45 Bridle Path Road Road, Heathcote Valley).
Cost: What you can pay.
