Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Learn about opportunities in the School of Psychology, Speech and Hearing, where you can explore postgraduate pathways in speech-language therapy and audiology. You will be able to engage with faculty and clinicians, explore hands-on clinical training, and learn how every day in these professions brings real-life impact, helping people communicate, recover, and live fuller lives.

Location: Jane Soons Building - UC Careers (Level 1, Arts Road on the UC Ilam campus).

Postgraduate qualifications featured:

  • Master of Speech and Language Pathology (MSLP) – A professional two-year qualification (full-time) that enables you to practice as a registered speech-language therapist. The programme combines coursework, clinical placements, and immersive practical experience, and is accredited by the NZ Speech-Language Therapists’ Association.
  • Master of Audiology (MAud) – A clinical master’s degree (two years full-time) preparing you to work as a professional audiologist, endorsed by the New Zealand Audiological Society, with coursework, placements, and a research thesis.

Biological Sciences
