Green Drinks: Defending the Deep
Join this inspiring talk with Roz Rolls who will share her insights on the deep ocean and the urgent need to safeguard it.
We are only beginning to discover the diversity, interconnections, and importance of life in the deep ocean - and how it shapes the health of our entire planet.
Right now, this extraordinary ecosystem is under serious threat from deep sea mining. But here’s the good news: it hasn’t started yet. Together, we have the chance to raise our voices, stand in solidarity, and call for a moratorium to protect these fragile environments before it’s too late.
Date: Thursday 16th October 2025.
Time: 6 to 8pm. Talk begins at 6.30pm.
Location: Morell and Co (280 Lincoln Road, Addington).
Cost: FREE.
Roz Rolls is Permaculture Teacher and Chairperson of the Cook Islands–based organisation kiaTAERIA (Towards Awareness of our Environmental Responsibility and Individual Action).
