Selwyn Positive Youth Development Community Training
The Positive Youth Development in Aotearoa (PYDA) framework is a practical and helpful lens to put over the way we work and help ensure we are all approaching youth development with a common language and a framework applicable for Aotearoa.
It's a must do training for everyone who works for or with young people. This hui is FREE to attend and no prior PYDA training is required.
Date: Thursday 17th September 2026.
Time: 9am to 4pm.
Location: Lincoln Event Centre (15 meijer Drive, Lincoln).
Cost: FREE.
The workshop introduces the two overarching outcomes we are all seeking to achieve (Developing the Whole Person and Developing Connected Communities), and explores the approaches we take to achieve these outcomes of Strength-Based Practice, Developing Respectful Relationships and Building Ownership and Empowerment.
In this highly interactive workshop, you explore how the PYDA framework applies to your practice, and how to practically apply the framework to your organisation, your role, and the young people whose lives you touch.
